We See You: Eve Jobs

The Stanford grad, elite equestrian and model is looking to make an impact.

DP’s series of the people—young, old, and everyone in between—who most intrigue us.

Why we’re watching her: It would be easy to brand her as the ultimate nepo baby (see: Steve Jobs), but Eve Jobs, 25, is making her own way as a champion equestrian, model, and girl about town.

Pedigree: The Stanford grad grew up in Palo Alto and has three older siblings, Reed, Erin, and Lisa. Yes, her dad pretty much created the world we live in but Eve’s mom, Laurene Powell Jobs, an active philanthropist, is no slouch. Eve told Vanity Fair, “I’m going to find my avenue to impact the most people in the best way possible. I want to take my time and get it right and find something I love, just as I see my mom finding ways in which to reach people.” (Her mother owns The Atlantic magazine, so we wholeheartedly agree.)

Catch her in the wild: According to Business Insider, Eve’s mom bought a $15 million ranch in Wellington, Florida. One report claims it has a barn big enough for 20 horses and a show-jumping training rink. Fellow horse-mad competitors include the daughters of Michael Bloomberg, Bill Gates, Bruce Springsteen, and Steven Spielberg.

From riding rink to catwalk: Eve was named one of the faces of Louis Vuitton in 2022. When she’s out of the saddle, she’s been spotted at the Met Gala and Paris Fashion Week.

Take your daughter to work day: Eve told Vanity Fair she remembers going into Apple’s office with her Dad. “I have a recollection of going to work with him and drawing on this one whiteboard in his office that I believe stands there to this day, with all my little doodles on it. I would just subconsciously soak in all the beauty and gorgeous design around me.”

Accessory of choice: The svelte model claims that she hates doing cardio. (We hear you.) Instead, she told New York Magazine that she works out her arms, legs, and abs with colorful, weighted Balo Bangles.

Love language: Short, sweet—and on an iPhone, please.

Party spirit animal: The horse, obvs. After all, the noble creature is said to embody independence, freedom, and a driving force.

Prediction: According to Steve Jobs biographer, Walter Isaacson, the Apple founder said Eve could end up running Apple or becoming president of the United States. “She’s a pistol and has the strongest will of any kid I’ve ever met.” He had a pretty record when it comes to predicting what we will want before we know it, so we’ll go with that.
